Big Bang Boom Party Band

We had a blast hanging out with some DanRiverMommies and their kids at the Walkertown Library to see Big Bang Boom's free concert. Nothing like seeing a bunch of toddlers - 2nd graders jamming out in the mosh pit!
The AC wasn't working in the library so they provided ice pops for the kiddos.

About Big Bang Boom Band:
Big Bang Boom is a pop/rock music group from Greensboro. After 20 years touring clubs and playing parties, Chuck Folds (younger brother of Ben Folds) and Steve Willard decided to expand their horizons and play for parents who have had enough of Barney, The Wiggles, and Kidz Bop. They have since been joined by drummer Eddie Walker. Big Bang Boom is kids music with a pop sensibility, really aimed more at being something that parents enjoy and feel good about letting thier kids listen to....DON'T PASS THIS OVER JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!

Big Bang Boom is also designed to give parents an alternative birthday party option. There is some good quality children’s music being recorded these days. You can catch it on any kid-friendly TV stations, but you can rarely see it live, and now you can.

Big Bang Boom plays some children’s favorites as well as their own original songs for kids. So check ‘em out, bring your young rockers to a show- or have them perform at any event where kids are ready to be kids!

Chuck Folds currently plays bass in Rubberband (http://www.myspace.com/rubberbandentertainment), a popular east coast private party band. Steve Williard plays guitar and sings with Rubberband, and when he isn’t playing other people’s music he writes his own style of rock n’ pop. If you are interesting in hearing any of that, check out Chuck Folds Five (http://www.myspace.com/chuckfoldsfive).
