Mommies Night Out was great. I enjoyed some yummy deep fried dill pickles and some adult conversation. The restaurant has live music on Saturday nights too!

My back

has been giving me a fit for the past few days. I think it came from over doing it in the pool with Cerdwin. I have been trying to take it easy and not aggravate it any more. It seems to be all muscle related at this point. It does not feel like the typical episodes I have when one of the herniated discs starts bulging more and putting pressure on my sciatic nerve. I have been taking some muscle relaxers and soaking in a hot tub with Epsom Salts. I can move around a little better today. I don't want to end up bed ridden for half the summer like I was last year.

The new do...

There is nothing really special or exciting about it. It is pretty much the same cut I always get, just a little shorter. I did get highlights. I think it has to be one of the best cuts I have ever had though. It was super easy to dry & style it today. Never even had to touch it with a brush or comb.

I just love Marlene Mabe at Head Turner Design in downtown Madison. Cerdwin thinks she is great too.

Never ending questions from a preschooler

Do you ever have those days when you have just had enough of the constant queries from your preschooler? Whew! Thankfully mine has never gone through the Why Phase. Cerdwin is very inquisitive though and very specific about what she asks. Our most recent has been, "How long does this take?" We get that instead of Are we there yet? or Is it done? and "How do they make (insert object) in a factory. She will not accept simple explanations and many times we end up having to consult a book or the WWW. YouTube has become a very good friend! She enjoys the short videos we find of various things being made.

Going to get a hair cut

Yeah, I know... such exciting news, huh? It really is a treat for me these days. I used to go every 3 weeks, but nowadays I find it hard to even make it every 3 months. Cerdwin is getting hers cut too. I think I will get highlights too!
